Happy first day of Fall y’all! That means it’s Halloween right?!?! I know most people don’t start getting festive until October 1st, but I just get so many ideas that I neeeeeeeed to start ridiculously early! There is just nit enough time to do them all!!!! I figure if it’s fall, it’s Halloween and no one can come after me telling me no lol.
When Haylie got off the bus this afternoon from school, she was starving as usual. She was asking for an actual meal and not her usual snack, so I figured it was the perfect opportunity to make a few Spider Sandwiches with her! PB&J is always a hit, so I figured that’s exactly what she would be getting and we would share later. Enjoy!
• Peanut Butter
• Chocolate Chips
• Pretzel Sticks
• Round Cup or Cookie Cutter
Spread the peanut butter and jelly onto the bread.
Use your cup or cookie cutter to cut out a circle.
Stick two chocolate chips on the sandwich using peanut butter as “glue”, Then stock 4 pretzel stocks into the sandwich on each side to make spider legs.
Serve & Enjoy!
I think it’s every parents dream for their kiddo to grow up to be the queen of something!! Unfortunately for me, my 7 year old is officially the queen of the picky eaters. Boo!
It’s literally so freaking hard to get this child to eat anything! However, pizza, especially those little round pepperoni that happen to be on pizza are here absolute favorite. I sear she could eat an entire bag in one sitting if I let her! Toss pepperoni onto dinner and 50/50 chance she will give the creation I chef’d up a try!
Safe to say Pizza Casserole has been a hit! Smothered in pepperoni, how could it not?!? My child actually eats it since pizza is in the name AND my hubby actually likes it likes likes it as well! A double win in the kitchen for me! Enjoy!
• 1 16oz Box Noodles
• 1lb Italian sausage
• 1 Jar Three Cheese Pasta Sauce
• Mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Boil noodles & cook sausage. Place cooked noodles into a large bowl. Add the sausage.
Pour in the jar of sauce.
Pour into a casserole dish.
Cover with mozzarella cheese.
Place pepperoni on top of the cheese. Cook for 15-20 minutes.
Serve & enjoy!
Y’all ready for another Las Vegas post?!? I’ve been fighting the worst cold EVER all week, so I’ve actually had a chance to catch up on all my travel writing! I don’t want to contaminate the masses, so I’ve literally been living on my computer typing away all week for entertainment!
Since a “review” of the Las Vegas High Roller would be rather cheesy. We already know it’s freaking AWESOME! I figured I would pass along a few tips. There are a few things I wish I knew ahead of time and I’m going to pass this info on to you so you can have the most epic experience ever and spin away with zero regrets!
1. Bring The Fancy Camera, Tripods Etc!
This is one excursion I’m kicking myself for not only leaving the DSLR in the hotel room, but not even bringing a tripod for my phone! The view is pretty sweet AND the ride is long enough that you can chill with the fam, enjoy a cocktail AND shoot those epic pics and still have a few minutes to spare! If I were to do it all over, you best believe my DSLR & my tripod would be joining me.
2. Make Sure You Have Plenty Of Time!
This is definitely an excursion you want to have plenty of time for! Definitely not an activity to kill some time unless that amount of time is longggggg. While the wheel takes 30 minutes to complete one revolution, plan on at least an hour to accommodate entering and exiting the wheel. There is a bar, professional photos etc before you even enter the pod! Thankfully I never plan too much at the same time, so we were fine time-wise, but the one thing I overheard others mention while wondering The Linq was not planning enough time and being rushed to get to the next excursion on their schedule!
3. Buy All The Drinks & Snacks!
Just do it! The ride is longer than you think and you will be thanking yourself that you purchased those drinks and snacks! The champagne looks so chic in my photos, but I definitely wish I went with a real cocktail or maybe even a dry wine so my drink wasn’t gone in 2 sips!
4. Purchase Your Tickets Ahead Of Time!
I was so thankful that I’m a huge planner and purchased our tickets ahead of time because the standby line the day we went? Wholly molly!!!!! Since we purchased tickets online, we skipped the long line and headed right inside to the AC! I was so happy I didn’t have to stand outside in the Vegas heat sweating to death waiting and waiting to get inside!
5. Use The Bathroom Before Entering The Pod!
This tip is for all the drinkers and small kids!!! Even if you don’t feel like peeing, just go! Obviously there are no bathrooms inside the pods, so take care of things before you board. You’re welcome;-)
Have you been on the Las Vegas High Roller?
Wine and unicorns?!?! Nothing like a run to the liquor store to scoop up a white wine bottle and having to drink it so you can make a unicorn out of it!!! Best Craft Ever!!!!
You can can either make decorative Unicorns or you can even glam up a full bottle unicorn style and pass it on as a gift!! I know I would love it if someone gave me a unicorn full of wine! Enjoy!
• Gold Glitter Paper
• Unicorn Eye Stickers (Hobby Lobby)
• Pink Glitter Hearts (Dollar Tree)
• Wine Bottle
Remove all labels from wine bottle.
Take the gold sparkle paper and cut out a large unicorn horn. Make sure it’s y’all enough that it covers the skinny part of the wine bottle. Glue the unicorn horn onto the wine bottle covering the skinny portion of the bottle.
Next, glue the flowers onto the bottle covering the bottom of the gold unicorn horn.
Stick on those unicorn eyes! If you do not have stickers, you can always draw eyes with a black sharpie!
Glue two pink sparkle hearts onto your bottle as cheeks.
The first day of fall is just days away, so it’s safe to start posting Halloween content right?!?! I don’t know why, but my daughter was so proud of herself for making these easy peasy Halloween Eyeball Donuts! She is my mini chef that whips things up all the time, but these donuts? I’m not sure what it was, but you would have thought she created the world’s greatest masterpiece. She was so proud!
Since these Halloween Eyeball Donuts are Haylie’s current favorite creation, I figured I would kick of the Halloween season with this tutorial! Enjoy!!!
• Wilton Candy Eyes
All you do is use the frosting as glue and stick the candy eyes all over the donuts!!! My daughter couldn’t get enough of this! I wish we had more eyes so she could have eyeballed the whole bag of donuts!
Do you cook with your kids!!?
