Yay!!!! March is FINALLY here!!! I swear March never disappoints. Birthdays, Leprechauns, Madness, Melting Snow, Open Toe Shoes, Easter. It never gets old.
Bring on the festivities!
Since Easter is a few weeks away, I figured it's the perfect time to start some Easter crafting! Haylie's an Easter baby meaning most years her birthday falls somewhere Easter week, so we always try to get Easter everything, besides the deliciousness dinner part, out of the way before her birthday week! That way her birthday & sometimes vacations (spring break, but we will let her toddler self think it's for her ð) can be the focus and not Easter everything! I would never want to deprive her of not having a birthday week.
I was beyond excited to make this with Haylie! Unfortunately things didn't go as planned and my child wanted nothing to do with a Peeps Bouquet. She took one bite of a peep and thought they were the grossest things of all times!!! Like who can hate the Easter deliciousness known as peeps?!?! How do you celebrate Easter without Peeps?!?! Ughhh.... So yeah... She refused to come anywhere near the peeps after that bite.
Being a mom that does make her kiddo try everything at least once, Haylie was convinced I was going to make her try the other colors. What I always thought of as a parenting win making her try new things totally backfired on me since I was not planning on making her try the other color peeps lol....
I bought all the supplies for this Peeps Bouquet at one of my all time favorite blogging supply spots, The Dollar Tree! It was like they were selling these things for this exact craft! Just look at that bucket & the paper straws. Totally matching! And the piece of green crafting Styrofoam. Fits perfectly into the bucket. Like it was made for it! I totally hit the Dollar Tree jackpot with this idea!
As you can see this was beyond simple to make! Perfect craft for kids of all ages.
All the kiddos, or in this case mom, has to do is stick the peep onto the straw and then stick the straw into the styrofoam & then bam! You have a Peeps Bouquet!
Easy Peasy!
To cover the eye sore that is the ugly green styrofoam, use jelly beans, or even M&Ms or Skittles to cover it up! If you go to Dollar Tree and buy this exact bucket and foam, a $1 size bag of any candy at Dollar Tree will cover it perfectly. You will even have a few pieces of candy left to snack on.
Didn't I do a fabulous job crafting y'all?! Ughhh -_- Hopefully you will have better luck and your kiddo will actually make this Peep fabulousness on there own! If not, just know you're not alone and there are other moms out there, like myself, that have anti-peep crafting kids. There is support for you here at The Trophy WifeStyle.
Happy March Y'all ð

We aren't big peeps people in our house, they don't seem to be as popular here in Canada as they are in the US but I think this would be so fun to do and my kiddos would enjoy! It'd be something different!

How cute are these? They would make a great gift for the kiddos teachers before Spring/Easter break hits! He/She may need that extra sugar boost to get through the days before school lets out!
