Tis the season of all things Red, White & Blue!!! I always get excited when I spot the patriotic M&M’s and Skittles while grocery shopping since that means it’s officially time for some themed baking!
Cookie bars are literally one of my favorite desserts. I make them every holiday since the makers of M&M’s come out with new festive candies for every themed day you can possibly think of!
Since Memorial Day is just weeks away and then July 4th isn’t too far after, I figured it was time my Patriotic Cookie Bars graced the blog with their presence. Enjoy!!!
• Box yellow cake mix
• 1 Box instant vanilla pudding
• 1/4 Cup water
• 3/4 Cup vegetable oil
• 2 Eggs
• 1 Cup chocolate chips.
• 1 Cup Red White & Blue M&M’s
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then combine cake mix, pudding, water, vegetable oil & eggs in large bowl.
Add your chocolate chips.
Add m&m’s. Mix well Pour the batter (it’s going to be thick) into a greased 9×13 pan or use a silicone baking dish as I did!!! Silicone works wonders when it comes time to remove the bars from the baking dish!!! Bake your bars for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and let them cool.
MCut into squares.
Serve & enjoy!
