A few weeks back we made a trip to San Antonio Texas to visit my fathers side of the family. Unfortunately, since we live in a small town in NY, 9 times out of 10, any trip we take will involve some type of layover since direct flights are non-existent.
When we were on our trek back to New York after a fun filled week in San Antonio, we had a 3 hour layover at Chicago O’Hare airport. After sitting at Chili’s as long as we possibly could, we decided to take a stroll around the airport to kill some time. That’s when we bumped into Kids on the Fly!
Kids on the Fly
"Kids on the Fly" (KOTF) is a fun-filled space where little travelers can play and parents and caregivers can unwind before or after a flight. Children of all ages can enjoy the interactive, educational play area. They can explore an airplane, control tower and helicopter model. Each year the play area is updated with new inventive and fun activities for children to enjoy!
Kids on the Fly is located in Terminal 2, right past the security checkpoint. If you aren’t sure which terminal or gate your flight will be arriving into, check one of the many maps throughout the airport for Kids on the Fly after you de-plane.
Nickelodeon Magazine just happened to name Kids on the Fly the "Most Awesome Airport Play Area!" I have to agree with Nickelodeon Magazine, the play are is pretty awesome!!!!
From what we could tell, Kids on the Fly is open 24/7! Perfect for those of you stuck at the airport overnight.
Free!!!! That’s right, free entertainment for your little rascals!!!!
Kids on the Fly is also accessible to those with disabilities!!!! Play for everyone!!! WoHoo!
Unfortunately food and drinks are prohibited. Makes sense since kids are messy eaters! Less chances of a mess if food is kept at a distance!
Do you have any vacation plans?
