Have you ever gone curtain shopping, only to get home with what appeared to be the most fabulous set of curtains of all times on the packaging, but once hung up, you immediately started to question your taste in interior design? That's kinda what happened with these curtains.
Honestly, I should of known better since I did see these on a random trip to Walmart lol... I wasn't even curtain shopping, but as I walked by this huge colorful display... the packaging was just way too cute, spakley & fabulous!!! Good job marketing team!!! So being the sparkle sucker that I am.... I put them in my cart to hang in my princesses new "big girl" room!
Once I hung them up though... ughhh.... you honestly couldn't even tell I hung a curtain up. Paper thin! Super cheap looking.... looked like they really did come from Walmart lol -_- So very disappointing!!! So I started to play around with them & while playing, I realized if you bunched the curtain together it didn't look that bad.
So originally I tied the middle of the curtain together with a purple hair tie lol. Classy, I know ;-) but still, even then it just looked like something was missing....
That's when I got the ingenious idea to take a set of dollar store plastic flowers I had sitting in a drawer & cut them into curtain ties! And omg... I gotta say I'm impressed!!! The cheapo curtains didn't look that bad anymore!!!
So if you have a set of curtains you usually tie together... maybe swap out the tie for a pretty flower :)
And with it being Christmas time you could also buy plastic poinsettias and tie curtains ;-) flower possibilities are endless ;-) all you have to do is make sure the plastic flowers have metal inside the steams so you can wrap that part around the curtain!!!
Well I really hope my cheapo curtain experience helps someone else in a curtain nightmare ;-)
