Is it really a holiday dinner without the beloved mashed potatoes?!?! Safe to say mashed potatoes are everyone’s favorite side dish!!!
The kitchen can definitely be a hectic place when it comes to cooking that holiday feast & burner space can be pretty limited. That’s why I love to make my mashed potatoes via crockpot! One less thing taking up burner space and they taste just as yummy as traditional potatoes! Enjoy!!!
• 4-5 pounds potatoes
• 2 cups chicken broth
• 1/2 cup butter at room temperature
• 1/4 cup heavy cream
• 1 tbsp garlic
Peel and slice potatoes.
Place the potatoes in the crockpot and pour in the broth.
Sprinkle in garlic. Add 1/4 cup butter. Cover and cook on high for 3 1/2 4 hours, until potatoes are very soft.
Drain any left over liquids from crockpot. Use a potato masher to mash the potatoes until smooth.
Add 1/4 cup butter & pour in the heavy cream. Stir.
Serve immediately or keep warm in the crock pot.
