I told myself I wasn't going to blog tonight.... but being the crazed workaholic blogger that I am, I just had to share my potato post tonight and not tomorrow hehehe ;-) Anyway..... This baked potato trick goes back to my kiddy days.... my mom was not a cook at all.... unless you count her spaghetti and store bought sauce cooking, so this was one of her tricks! She usually would microwave potatoes -_- but on the rare occasion she had to cook a bunch at the same time....she would throw them in the crock pot ;-) If you are a potato connoisseur like myself... no these potatoes don't taste as fantastic as a baked potato in the oven.... the skin doesn't get all crispy, but they are hell of a lot better than a microwave potato lol.... this is the perfect hack for those crazy busy days! Just throw some potatoes in before you go run all your errands and when you get back all you have to do is chef up a main dish! All you need is a crockpot, foil & potatoes Just poke a few holes in the potatoes with a fork wrap in foil cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours Top with your favorites & enjoy ❤

This is a pretty smart way to cook taters when I don't want to fire up the oven, or the oven is in use. Pinned!

I never thought about cooking baked potatoes in the crock pot! That is awesome! Especially for me,,,I always end up focusing on the "meat" portion of a meal, forget about the sides, and end up scrambling at the end. I can put the potatoes in the crock pot before begin!

We put our potatoes in a microwavable bowl and into the microwave for about 5 minutes. We then take it out, poke some holes in it, and put it in for about 2 more minutes... quick and easy, and you can dress it up with the same stuff you like on a baked potato. :)
