Baked Beans are literally my favorite bbq side dish next to corn on the cob!!!! I’m always looking for ways to give my baked beans a twist! Dr.Pepper Beans were my go to for the longest time. Then one day I went to make my beans and someone drank the Dr.Pepper I was saving for my beans. I had a ton of Cokes in the refrigerator for my hubby’s favorite bbq cocktail, captain & Coke. So I decided to give it a try!
Believe it or not I actually like the Coca-Cola Baked Beans BETTER! You get the cola taste without the soda taking over the entire dish as you do with the Dr.Pepper! Literally my new holy grail baked beans recipe.
• 6oz (1/2 can) Coca Cola
• 28oz Baker Beans1/4 Cup Ketchup
• 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
• 4 Pre-Cooked Strips Bacon
• 1 Small Onion
Pre-heat oven 350 degrees. Drain can of beans as well as you can & pour them into a mixing bowl. You will not get it to completely drain, so do not worry if there is still juices in the beans.
Chop up the onion & bacon. Place onion, bacon, ketchup & brown sugar into the bowl.
Pour in the Coca-Cola. Mix well.
Pour into a small baking pan or cast iron. Bake for 15 minutes.
Serve & enjoy!
