Any mamas out there need an excuse to go out and buy a bottle or two of wine?! I may just have you covered! Wine Cork Dot Paint Pumpkins! That’s right, you drink the contents of that wine bottle while your child dots away with the corks. It’s a win win activity since Mama is occupied and so is the kiddo! Cheers & happy dotting!
• White Paper Plates
• Green Pipe Cleaners
• Hole Punch
• Orange Paint
• Wine Corks
Before you let your child dot away, take your hole punch and punch a hole at the top of the white paper plate. This is where you will string your pipe cleaner to make a stem later.
Let your child dot away using the orange paint & the wine cork!
Once your white paper Plate is covered in paint dots, take 2-3 pipe cleaners and wrap them around your finger to make a spiral.
Take your pipe cleaner spiral and simply thread it into the hole you punched in your white paper plate. Twist the stem in place. And just like that, you now have a Paper Plate Pumpkin!
I just love Halloween crafts. Halloween and Christmas are the two holidays I tend to go all out for. I just can’t get enough of the cuteness!!!!
My daughter has a class Halloween party every year! Since Halloween is a favorite of mine to get crafty for, I thought it would be fun to make D.I.Y Mummy Water Bottles for the kids!
• Small Water Bottles
• Glue Stick
• Black Paper
Take a water bottle and your gauze & wrap your water bottle up.
Take your scissors and cut the leftover gauze. Then tuck the end of your gauze into the gauze on your water bottle.
Now glue on those googly eyes with your glue stick.
Time to cut out a mouth using your black paper. Once you have cut one out, glue it onto your water bottle.
Glue on a plastic spider.
Ta-Da! You now have Mummy Water Bottles. They make the perfect beverage to serve at your Halloween Party!
Are you planning a Halloween Party?
I may hate fall here in New York since it is FREEZING. I swear we only get two season here. Winter and Spring. Boo! But fall does bring one totally awesome thing with it, football! One of the only good things about fall is lazy football Sundays lounging around in front of the TV in my PJ’s!
Now that my daughter is older, we have been playing around with the idea of taking her to a football game. Only issue is we live in the Buffalo region. Buffalo fans are notorious for their obnoxious behavior. The games are ridiculously fun for a day date. Hubby and I have gone to many, but I wouldn’t take a little one. You just never know what you will encounter.
One random afternoon while scrolling my Facebook feed I spotted an advertisement for Buffalo Bills Kids Day ticket’s from a ticket site. I was intrigued at the idea that the Buffalo Bills have a Kids day. Could it be? I can take my child to a game and so many kids would be in attendance that all the shenanigans that happens at most games would be obsolete? So I decided to google it & then bought tickets once I realized it was a legit event.
The event ran from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. We arrived at around 1:30 and had plenty of time to have fun before the game. Buffalo Bills Kids Day was filled with a variety of activities, including mini golf, a rock climbing wall, a mechanical Bills helmet ride and more! They even had super cool photo opts. Lines did get pretty long for those beyond fabulous Insta pics. But it was totally worth it.
Prior to entering the stadium we had the chance to enjoy a variety of food truck offering from places such as Cibo, Buffalo’s Best, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, and Ms. Judi! Once inside New Era Field, the Buffalo Bills Kids Day deal included $2 hot dogs, Pepsi products, and water. Safe to say we had an awesome time even before the game began. We will definitely be going back next year!
Who do you root for on Football Sunday?
Happy 1st week back to school!!!! Hope all of your kiddos are having a fabulous time in their new classrooms filled with new and familiar faces. The first week is always so fun and exciting.
Packing those school lunches can be pretty fun that first week too! Since you had all summer off from packing, your are nice and refreshed and ready to rock those lunch boxes!
One of my favorite school lunch ideas? Making Googly Eye Sandwich Bags! Zero skills required since all you do is pretty much glue and then draw a mouth. Takes less than a minute and will for sure put a huge smile on your kiddos face come lunch time.
• Large Googly Eyes
• Super Glue
• Sandwich Bag
Take those large googly eyes and glue them onto your sandwich bag with super glue.
Once your eyes are nice and glued in place, take your sharpie and draw on that mouth.
And just like that, summer break was over and it was back to school for the kiddo. As much as I complain about summer break, in reality, I love it. Living in NY, we only get a few short months of fabulous weather so you basically need to squeeze a whole year of outdoor activities into 3 months. Chillen outdoors makes me happy, so summer is my favorite! I seriously need to move back down south so I can sit outside Year round without snowflakes falling on my head.
This Thursday my not so little princess started First Grade! Crazy to think she is really THAT old! I swear I have zero concept of time. It feels like she was just crawling around yesterday, but here she is riding the bus to school like a big girl without the help of mom.
Back To School outfits are also something I always look forward to! It’s one of the few days in the year you can go all out and nobody will say a word because they went all out with their kids as well. Since I’m fashion obsessed, you best believe I take advantage of this fashion opt!
Unfortunately little ones don’t let you dress them forever, so you can definitely tell by looking at the photos above that year by year my daughter starts to take more and more control of her fashion choices. Thankfuly she still loves all things girly, she just wants to dress more like a kid decked out in character appeal than my beloved Insta-kid-model boutique styled kid.
I know school pretty much started for EVERYONE, but I figured I would toss this FREE PRINTABLE up now and also toss it up on Pinterest. That way all you Moms and Dad’s can take advantage of the printable sign next year. Better than paying a few bucks on Etsy for a sign you will use for 30 seconds right?
How was your kiddos first day back at school?
