I don’t know why, but my daughter has an obsession with spiders! My husband and I are both terrified of the things! My daughter, can’t get enough of them. She’s the type of person I could see begging for a tarantula one day. (Never ever going to happen when she’s living in my house lol)
Since my daughter loves spiders and Halloween is right around the corner, we thought it would be fun to make a Spider Paper Plate! Super easy to make and all supplies can be found at my favorite store, Dollar Tree! Enjoy!
• Black Paper Plate
• Black Pipe Cleaners
• White Pipe Cleaner
• Glue Stick
• Googly Eyes
• Hole Punch
Take four black pipe cleaners and cut them in half to make eight spider legs.
Take your hole punch and punch 4 holes onto each side of your black plate. You will be using these holes for the legs.
Once you have your holes punched, take your black pipe cleaners and twist them through the holes to make eight spider legs. Then bend your pipe cleaners to make your spider legs wavy.
After all eight spider legs are attached to your black paper plate, grab that white pipe cleaner and make yourself a mouth for your spider. Use your glue stick to glue your mouth in place.
Now glue those googly eyes onto your black paper plate!
And just like that, you now have a Spider Paper Plate. Perfect craft for preschoolers or kiddos just learning how to cut and glue!

Pencil Picture Frame
Our trip to Boscov’s over the weekend has me stoked for all things back to school, I thought it would be fun to include a cute D.I.Y pencil Picture Frame! Use it for a teacher gift or even use it yourself to frame those first day of school photos!
• 1 Package of Yellow Pencils
• Super Glue
Take your Yellow Pencils & place them into a frame shape. Then take your super glue and glue your pencils together.
Now take your photograph & place it on the back side of your frame. Picture facing the front of the frame. Place a few glue dots on the edges of your photo. To glue your photo on to the frame. You can also use tape if you prefer.
Now take your ribbon and cut a pice long enough to make a frame hook. Glue the ribbon to the back of your frame. Once your ribbon has dried, you can now hang your frame anywhere you like!
Have you started back to school shopping?
OMG! How are we a few weeks away from the first day of school?! I swear the years keep going by faster and faster because I swear I was just making teacher gifts for the last day of school & here we are talking first days! Geeezzzzz!!!
I will admit, as much as I wish I was a Pinterest mom when it comes to those school lunches, my daughter pretty much gets her lunch at school. So very rarely, if ever does my daughter get a fancy smancy packed lunch! However, we have had one of the rainiest summers EVER, so I will get crafty on a rainy day at lunch time and whip up something cute.
Today’s lunch? Unicorn Sandwiches. Perfect for a summer time lunch for my princess & perfect for all you Pinterest lunch moms to pack for your own princesses on that first day of school!
What You Need!
• Unicorn Cookie Cutter (Michaels)
• Your Favorite Filler! ( my daughter chose cheese)
Simply make your sandwich how you normally would! Then place your unicorn cookie cutter on top of your sandwich.
Press down really hard to make that perfect unicorn. Be carful when removing the left over bread from the cookie cutter. You don’t want to end up ripping part of your Unicon Sandwiches.
And just like that you have Unicorn Sandwiches. Princess approved & easy peasy enough for mom to actually make!
Thank you The Big Bounce America for sponsoring this post!
No big deal folks!!! We just spent our Friday night at the biggest bounce house IN THE WORLD!!!! That’s right, The Big Bounce America made it’s way to Buffalos Outter Harbor and we had the privilege to jump the night away!
The Big Bounce America
Never heard of The Big Bounce America? The Big Bounce America is 10,000 square feet of full-on inflatable fun! 10,000 square feet makes The Big Bounce America the world’s largest bounce house! With every bounce there’s a whole new experience to be shared and down every slide a new adventure for you, your friends and your family to be a part of.
Inside The Bounce House
Inside the bounce house you will find giant slides, ball pits, basketball hoops and obstacle runs. You will also spot massive inflatable animals among massive inflatable palm trees with inflatable trucks, boats and climbing frames all contained within the walls of the candy-colored castle. There is also a DJ spinning from a stage in the middle of all this, with confetti blasts and beach balls flying around all happening around you as you bounce. It’s seriously impossible to not have a great time!
The Bounce Village
If you want more bounce, you can upgrade your ticket during checkout to include unlimited access to even more attractions in the Bounce Village located next to The Big Bounce America. The Bounce Village can be enjoyed any time before or after your hour long session on the main bounce house.
For all you budding Ninja Warriors The Bounce Village just happens to have an amazing inflatable obstacle run. Run, jump and bounce your way through each of the fiendishly fun obstacle pieces which includes mazes, swinging balls, climbing walls and various other bouncy challenges. And what better way to finish any run than a slide into a ball pit??? Celebrate completing the course by climbing up and sliding down the Big Bounce slide! You can also Swim your way through a multi-colored sea of balls in a gigantic 2,000 square foot domed ball pit also part of The Bounce Village.
Add-On Worth It?
At first I thought an add-on would be unnecessary, but let me tell you, I was thankful for having it once we arrived. I’m one of those people who arrives early to everything when left in charge, so we had a good 15 minutes to spare before our ticketed time. 6 year olds HATE waiting their turn so The Bounce Village saved the day since my daughter didn’t have to wait patiently to bounce. She could start jumping when we arrived. The Bounce Village was also a life saver when it came time to leave. My daughter could get a few more bounces in before we went home.
Session types & age requirements were the questions asked most when sharing photos on social media Friday Night! So I wont get any bit of info wrong, I’m straight up copy/pasting all the info from The Big Bounce America themselves! I would hate to send you to the wrong age group session ;-)

Summer!!!! My favorite time of the year. Spending my days either Poolside, Beachside or Unicorn Sprinkler side with my daughter are the absolute best. Living in NY, we only get a few short months of fabulous weather before the snow returns, so we definitely make the most of summertime sunshine! If it’s over 70 degrees, you know where to find us!
Sunscreen, swimsuits and NABISCO Snacks are all we need for a successful day of fun in the sun. I swear snacks can really make or break your day. You have way more fun when that belly is nice and full, so this on-the-go busy Mama always makes sure she grabs enough NABISCO snacks for all of our summer adventures when I do my weekly grocery shopping at Walmart!
Walmart is this Mamas preferred place to shop because it’s literally a one stop shop! I can grab everything from sunscreen, towels, the NABISCO Snacks my daughter begs for and those delicious Family Size WHEAT THINS Snacks I use for my famous cheese & cracker trays I make for the Moms at our weekly play dates at one stop. When you have more to do in a day than hours, stores like Walmart literally save the day by cutting your shopping trip in half!
A great summer time snacking hack is to always reach for that Family Size box when cruising the snack aisle at Walmart. You will save yourself so much time since you won’t need to make an extra Walmart snack run since your pantry is already nice & full!
Are you Unicorn Sprinker Side and everyone goes into their daily starvation mode? Since you grabbed that Family Size OREO Cookies while doing your weekly shopping, boom! Starvation travesty avoided. Everyone can continue to make those lifetime family memories with a nice & full yummy.
Need some snack inspiration? I encourage you to visit the NABISCO Snack 'N Share Pinterest Board for some fresh & totally delicious ideas!
