Trying new restaurants is literally one of my favorite pastimes. Nothing better than sampling a chefs yummy creations!!!
When I noticed Mother’s Day was days away, I figured it would be the perfect opportunity to try SEAR Steakhouse in Buffalo, NY. The restaurant had been on my bucket list for awhile so I told my husband to make a reservation!
SEAR is a modern take on the traditional steakhouse and features a contemporary, chef-driven menu, an extensive wine list and well-curated craft cocktail program.
SEAR marks the first collaboration between some of Buffalo’s best: restaurateur David Schutte of Oliver’s and Creekview Restaurants, former Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson, cornerback Terrence McGee and punter Brian Moorman, David Anderson, President and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield, Dave Pietrowski, President of LoVullo Associates and Ron Raccuia, President of ADPRO Sports.SEAR has also partnered with Pegula Sports and Entertainment in various aspects of the business including marketing, branding and creative services. The SEAR experience promises to be completely unparalleled to anything that we have seen in downtown Buffalo.
Located in the heart of Buffalo just a few minutes from Canalside, SEAR is a modern steakhouse situated on the first floor of the Avant and Embassy Suites Hotel.
The best thing about the location of Sear is that it is indeed inside of a hotel which means Valet parking! No need to pay ridiculous downtown parking prices. Just validate your parking at Sear before leaving and your valet parking is FREE!
COMPLEMENTARY BREAD SERVICE
Who doesn’t love bread! I swear carbs are life. Sear goes on the awesome list of restaurants that serve complementary bread!!!! The complimentary bread service Parker House rolls topped with rosemary butter and salsa verde for dipping. Beyond delicious!
SEAR Executive Chef JT Nicholson showcases an innovative menu featuring a wide variety of prime and dry-aged steak selections, fresh seafood, creative small plates, sauces and side dishes. 350 wines have been hand-selected to be apart of an extraordinary wine list. SEAR proudly focuses on using locally grown produce and meat and also features impressive cocktails, desserts and after-dinner drinks.
We Started with the Wagyu Tartar, I had the Wagyu Flat Iron with asparagus for my main course. My husband has the Steak Fritas & my daughter had the Mac & Cheese!
Honesty hands down my new favorite steakhouse in Buffalo. The restaurant would be considered on the pricey side. However, if you are into high end dining, you would be rather happy with the prices. I never once glanced at the menu thinking ripoff. Prices were fair and food was amazing! My wagyu Flat Iron was literally to die for and ran about $40. The Steak Fritas was in the $20’s if you are looking for a budget friendly meal option.
The only downside was no kids menu which was rather shocking since the place was packed with families. Sear will work with you though and help create a kid friendly meal option. They turned their lobster Mac & Cheese into a super cheesy plain Mac & Cheese which tasted amazing. I may have taken a scoop for myself since the portion was ridiculously big for a 6 year old.
If you find yourself in Downtown Buffalo and have a steak craving, SEAR is definitely the place to go! Two thumbs up from us here at The Trophy WifeStyle :)

Can you believe we are already half way through the month of May? With Mother’s Day still fresh in my mind, I couldn’t help but brainstorm Fathers Day gift ideas! I had such a fabulous day that I want all the dads out there to have just as fab of a day as well!!!
These Golf Ball Shower Steamers will make one fabulous Father’s Day gift, or to just toss in Dad’s bathroom to keep dad’s senses nice and awakened!
1 (12 count) golf ball candy mold
1 1/2 cups of baking soda
2 teaspoons of water (I used a fine mist spritzing bottle)
12 drops eucalyptus essential oil
1. Add the baking soda to a large metal or glass mixing bowl.
2. Spritz the baking soda about 10-12 times with a fine mist spritzer or add 1 teaspoon of water and whisk until slightly damp. Spritz for an additional 10-12 times or add the remaining teaspoon of water and whisk again. If the baking soda begins to fizz, stop adding water.
3. Once the baking soda is damp, squeeze some in your hand to see if it clumps. If it does, it is ready for the next step.
4. Add 12 drops of eucalyptus essential oil. Whisk to incorporate the oil into the baking soda.
5. Transfer the baking soda mix to the golf ball molds, filling up to the top of each mold. Press the mix down firmly with your fingers.
6. Allow to dry and harden overnight. Gently remove each shower steamer from its mold and store in an airtight container.
HOW TO USE
Place 1-2 eucalyptus golf ball steamers in the corner of your shower, away from the water stream.
The steam will activate the refreshing eucalyptus aroma and awaken your senses and increase your concentration. It’s the perfect morning shower steamer!
We just love visiting Texas! The state is so large and grand that every time we make a trip, it’s always a totally different experience since it’s literally IMPOSSIBLE to see everything. So much to do & as always on any trip, so little time!!!!
While we were on our San Antonio trip, we had the pleasure of spending the afternoon at one of the most unique amusement parks we had ever been to!
What Is Morgan’s Wonderland?
Non-profit Morgan’s Wonderland is the first theme park of its kind in the world. Morgan’s Wonderland is a purpose-
built 25-acre theme park for guests of all ages and abilities. That’s right, kids with disabilities of all kinds can have the same fun as everyone else!!!
The park, which opened in spring 2010 on the site of the former Longhorn Quarry, was developed by Gordon Hartman, a former homebuilder from San Antonio. He said his daughter, Morgan, who deals with cognitive and physical challenges, inspired creation of the park. He wanted a place she could enjoy!
Rides custom-designed to accommodate wheelchair riders means that every family member can enjoy the fun. WooHoo!!! Adapted rides include the Wonderland Express train, with a half-mile of track that wraps around the park’s scenic lake. The Off-Road Adventure, where guests can test their driving skills in sporty vehicles. The Whirling Wonder Ferris wheel, with a dozen brightly colored gondolas that rise up to 5 ½ stories high for panoramic views of the park and a carousel, offering all kinds of horses and other animals ready to be ridden. The latter sits flush with the ground and has “chariots” that move up and down as the carousel turns, giving those in wheelchairs the same sensation as guests riding horses.
At The Wharf that juts out into the lake, guests can captain their own remote-controlled pirate ships or enjoy catch-and-release fishing for catfish or bass. There’s also the Sensory Village™, a cluster of storefronts with activities to encourage imaginative play and stimulate all the senses.
After playing in either of two expansive, shaded playgrounds or on a large variety of swings (including wheelchair swings), guests can enjoy a family picnic at the covered Picnic Place. Families have the option of purchasing snacks and drinks at Morgan’s Wonderland or bringing food with them to the park.
Morgan’s Wonderland has welcomed approximately a million guests from all 50 states and 67 other countries! Admission for those with special needs is free! Admission fees for accompanying family members, friends, caregivers and the general public are nominal.

I think it’s safe to say that this place is incredible for ALL children. Non-judgment and my child could just be free. Being a mama of a non-verbal child, I’m used to going places and all eyes are on me and my child since we communicate differently. The term “non-verbal” just means your child doesn’t speak like you and I. So when my daughter does talk, questions galore on why a 6 year old speaks babytalk. Me being an introvert that hates small talk, those situations are always tough regardless on how many times they happen a day. At Morgan’s Wonderland, people would talk to my daughter & zero questions about her speech. She was accepted just the way she is and I didn’t have to have small talk with anyone lol....It was such a stress-free environment. I wish we had a Morgan’s Wonderland in NY we could get seasons passes too. We would go all the time for the environment alone!
As for the rides, we all had a blast!!!! I just love that all the rides were inclusive. I can only imagine how tough it must be being a wheelchair bound kiddo not being able to ride the same rides as your friends. Morgan’s Wonderland does a fantastic job of including everyone.
If you couldn’t tell, we are Morgan’s Wonderland’s biggest fans!!! I recommend this park to everyone!!!! Not just special needs. It’s the perfect place for toddlers. Would also make an awesome place for play dates since the environmental is so non-judgmental. Your kids can just play freely and no one will bat an eye! I wish the whole world could be that way.
Long story short, if you find yourself in San Antonio and have a free afternoon, I highly recommend Morgan’s Wonderland. Your kids will have a blast!
Have you ever been to Morgan’s Wonderland?
