Balloon Cake Topper

Balloon Cake Topper
It was hubby's birthday May 6th. I swear he is as opposite when it come to birthdays as you can get from me! In my family birthdays were always a big deal! My parents always made sure we knew it was OUR day & we got to do whatever we wanted, within reason, to make sure our day was special. That has definitely carried over into my adult life & my birthday mind as well be a world wide holiday to everyone who knows me lol....

Hubby however could care less it's his birthday.... I have tried to go all out in the past thinking maybe he just doesn't want to ask for that kind of birthday, but nope.... He really could care less. All my efforts in the past were kind of fails since he really just didn't care no matter who I invited, where we went, how crazy the evening was, he would of been just as happy at home lol.

So I gave up and now we do simple home birthdays for him & with being simple I "made" him a simple cake! Bought a cake since I'm not exactly the best baker, some balloons & kabob sticks & totally pimped out the basic & simple cake I bought in the grocery store bakery!

If you are ever in need of a cake decorating idea that literally takes under 5 minutes to put together, this is it! Hope it comes in handy for you someday :)

Super-easy and very effective. Although I can see the kiddos using the sticks to pop them!

Wow, you are so sweet and thoughtful to be preparing all those for his birthday! In our case, we just buy everything and forget about cake decorating. Whatever the stores have, we pick the best and present to the birthday boy. :)
