Ahhhhh quarantine life!!!! It’s definitely been interesting that’s for sure! If you’re living in NY like myself ughh..... I’ve just come to the conclusion that we are stuck at home forever lol.....
with that being said, Disney is our obsession so of course I made a fun Disney game for the kiddo. My daughter is in Occupational, Speech and Physical Therapy, so has been one of our homeschool therapy activities.
These fun Disney themed cards are designed to keep your little ones moving and entertained. They will learn different actions and they help with fine motor skills. A perfect way to spend time indoors or out!
Just click below and print away!!!! I even provided a blank card so you can print and add your own actions!!
My all time favorite dessert?!?! French Macarons! Literally my obsession. We only have one local spot locally that sells macarons and she is a weekends only bakery. So you best believe every vacation I plan, I hunt down those delicious Macarons!
Thankfully Disney makes it easy & has a several spots one can scoop up a macaron or two. One of the free admission, no park ticket spots being Amorette’s at Disney Springs!
Sold individually, these macarons are absolutely delicious! I do warn you though, if you’re a evening Disney Springs person like myself, you might be left with slim pickings. These yummy treats are definitely on demand and depending on when you visit Disney Springs, you might just be out of luck when it comes to your favorite flavors.
The good news is, I have never wandered into Amorette’s and left empty handed. Even during February and Spring Break, so as long as you’re not picky, you will leave with something!
Headed to Disney, craving Poutine, but don’t want to pay for an Epcot ticket?!?! Just head to The Daily Poutine kiosks at Disney Springs! A.K.A free admission!!!
THE DAILY POUTINE
The Daily Poutine serves up the traditional Canadian dish of hot French fries topped with delicious brown gravy and Yummy cheese curds along with a few twists on the classic. You can also find draft beer, wine, seasonal cocktails along with fountain drinks & water!
Best part?! The Daily Poutine accepts the Disney Dining Plan! WooHoo!
Located across from my favorite spot for Mickey Champagne, Amorette’s Patisserie & close to the World of Disney and Lego stores at Disney Springs, The Daily Poutine is not too hard to find!
In my honest Disney foodie opinion, The Daily Poutine gives some of my favorite long-established Counter Service restaurants in Disney Springs more than a run for their money. I live an hour away from Canada and this is the real deal! The gravy is spot on! Definitely worth going out of your way to grab some, especially if you’re a cheese and/or French fry fan!
And it’s finally happened! I have officially reached one year of making holiday cinnamon rolls! Now that I have completed Red, White, & Blue Mickey, I’m pretty sure I have covered all major holidays. Such a fun milestone to reach, yet sad because I don’t have any more holidays to Mickey-fy for y’all!!!
Using a can of cinnamon rolls and patriotic sprinkles, these are so easy to make! Just wrap two cinnamon rolls together and pinch two more on to make ears and ta-da!!! You now have patriotic Mickey.
• 4 Original Size Cinnamon Rolls
• Icing (included in the cinnamon roll package)
• Patriotic Sprinkles
Take 2 original size cinnamon rolls and roll them together to make a large circle. This will be the Mickey head.
Take 2 cinnamon rolls and pinch them onto the large cinnamon roll. These two cinnamon rolls will be Mickey’s ears so place them accordingly. Bake for 15 minutes on 350 or until golden brown.
Frost your Mickey Mouse Cinnamon Roll.
Sprinkle with patriotic sprinkles
Serve & enjoy!
And on the 728910 day of quarantine, I present to you Haylie’s favorite creation ever, Mickey Mouse Pizza!!! This is actually such a favorite of hers that she even made a button for it in her speaking device! I’m sure everyone at school is like what is this little girl talking about?!? Well, this deliciousness right here!
You can make Mickey Mouse Pizza’s homemade! From a frozen pizza or even a takeout pizza if you have a bag of pepperoni at home to Mickey it up!!!
• Mini Pizza Crust
• Pizza Sauce
• Mozzarella Cheese
• Mini Pepperoni
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Spread pizza sauce over the pizza crust.
Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Take a pepperoni and two mini pepperoni and create Mickey heads all over the pizza. Place in the oven and cook for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.
Serve & enjoy!!
Need quarantine entertainment this St.Patrick’s Day?!? Crazy that I even had to type such a thing. I feel like I’m living in a really bad movie right now... so not cool! But instead of complaining, I’m making the best of it by hitting the kitchen with my Lil’Princess!!!
Since we are Disney obsessed and Mickey & Minnie being favorites of Haylie’s, we thought it would be fun to glam up some cinnamon rolls Disney, St.Patrick’s Day style!!!! So easy to make that she made them all by herself minus me taking the pan in and out of the oven!!! You can easily make these minus the sprinkles of sprinkles require you to leave your home!
• 4 Standard Size Cinnamon Roll Per Mickey
• St.Patrick’s Day Sprinkles
• Frosting (included in cinnamon roll package)
Place 1 cinnamon roll on a baking sheet. Then unroll the 2nd cinnamon roll and wrap it around roll 1 to make a giant Mickey head. Place two standard sized cinnamon rolls on each side of the large roll you just made. Pinch together. These will be the Mickey ears. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
Serve & Enjoy!
Disney’s Rivera Resort is a dream to us boujee girls!! I was blown away with its beauty on our last trip to Orlando. I was dying to book a room for a night or two, but during East Coast February Break? Yeah, unless I was wanting to pay a ridiculous amount for a suite for only two people, the hotel was booked solid! Not a single non-penthouse type room left, so we did the next best thing, booked a character breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace! That way we could check out the newest Disney Resort & have the opportunity to try at least one of the new restaurants!
Disney’s Rivera Resort
For those of you not up to date on the latest Disney news, Disney’s Rivera Resort is the newest Resort at Walt Disney World! Inspired by Europe and imagined by Disney, this Epcot resort is connected to Epcot by the new Skyliner and home to exhilarating activities, delectable dining and stylish accommodations—from cozy Tower Studios to spacious villas with up to 3 bedrooms! If we’re being honest, the resort gave me total Ritz Carlton/Four Seasons vibes and I was living for it!!!
Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera
Breakfast with a view!!! Located on the very top floor of Disney’s Rivera Resort, you literally enjoy a birds eye view of the resort and the new skyliner while spending the morning with Mickey & pals! I for one could not stop starring off into the windows at the beauty outside!
The prix fixe menu offers delicious choices to please everyone in the family! Adults pay $42 Kids $27 and you choose one entree from the menu! This price includes juices, soda, water and milk! Adult beverages, tea and coffee will be extra.
Breakfast begins with fresh pastries—delicious Danish, croissants, blueberry scones & Epi bread! Your choice of entrées follows: Quiche Gruyère with house-made pancetta, Sour Cream Waffle, Wood-fired Butchers Steak, Smoked Salmon, Spiced Sausage Hash, Two Eggs Any Style, plant-based “Egg” Omelet and more. Whichever you select, breakfast in this charming café is an enchanting way to start your day!
My daughter went with the Mickey Waffle Dippers, which are only available for kids 9 and under. I decided to be extra boujee and opted for the Wood-Fired Butchers Steak! Believe it or not, that was the first time I had ever had steak for breakfast! Boy have I been missing out!
While enjoying breakfast and the bird’s eye views, you have the chance to meet some of your favorite Disney Friends for a perfect photo and autograph opportunity! You may find yourself mingling with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck all stylishly dressed from head to toe in artist outfits unique to Topolino’s Terrace!
While other character dinning options such as Chef Mickey’s leave you feeling panicked and rushed, Topolino’s was a very chill and relaxed spot when it came to character photos. The characters took their time and didn’t leave you feeling rushed at all!
I think y’all can already tell I’m Topolino’s biggest fan! Literally my new all-time favorite character breakfast at Walt Disney World!
To start out, you really do get what you pay for! I was skeptical at first since it was a fixed price and you choose options off of a pre-fix type of menu, but believe me when I say you will leave so full it’s not even funny.
The food is also 100% a culinary experience. This is the type of dinning option I would recommend to other foodies! Even the kids options came out looking insta-worthy and tasted beyond delicious!!!
Presentation is huge for me since I love to take photos and everything down to the bowls and butter knives were 100% custom themed to Topolino’s! Artist theme for everything. Butter knives were shaped like freaking paint brushes!!! How cool!?!?!
The characters as I mentioned above were fantastic too! You weren’t rushed to take photos. You didn’t have random strangers running to your table trying to sneak a turn with Mickey. I left leaving just as calm as I entered which is huge for anything character related at Walt Disney World.
While the restaurant isn’t glamorous itself, the views make up for that! We were seated next to the window and I couldn’t help but stare out to the beautiful scenery outside.
So if you feel like being a tad bit boujee, I totally recommend tossing a sundress on and heading over to Disney’s Rivera Resort for the morning and enjoying a delicious breakfast at Topolino’s! Your boujee self will be so thankful you did!
