Ahhhhhhh yay!!!!! It's Friday!!! Usually Friday means absolutely nothing to me because #MomLife , but this week is totally different! Why you ask? Because that means Sunday is Easter or what I like to call Bunny Day!!!!!!!
I'm not exactly the most religious gal in the world, so Easter to you is probably totally different to me. Being the totally foodie that I am though I of course get excited about Easter because that means a day full of deliciousness food is upon me!
I literally blogged the last 2 1/2 years of holidays. Whatever we did was published pretty much the next day. So since I worked my butt off years past, I declared 2016 the year of nothing! I am not doing a single thing on holidays besides eat, drink & chill with my little family. With that being said we are going to enjoy a nice Easter brunch buffet at a favorite local resort, Peak n Peak! Can't wait to be the one being waited on this Easter. I'm totally going to enjoy every single second of it!
The holiday lover in me couldn't do absolutely nothing though, so hubby and I are going to make a cute mimosa/dessert bar for after brunch. All desserts bakery bought of course to go with my absolutely nothing in 2016 theme ;-)
With desserts on my mind for our bar, I thought it would be cute to make peeps straws for our mimosas. Is it really Easter without Peeps?!? So we had to include them somewhere! I have no idea where I got this idea from. Literally! The only thing I can think of is my Peeps Bouquet since the bouquet consisted of peeps on straws, they just weren't in liquid lol.
My daughter being 3 obviously can't enjoy bubbly yet, so I thought it would be cute to whip up some Peeps Straws for her milk! They came out pretty dang cute if I don't say so myself! Probably wayyy cuter than the mimosas will look Sunday.
