Another Sunday Funday has come and gone meaning another one of hubby and I's famous football parties is now in the books! Being one of the few people we know with the NFL ticket & me being the party hostess extraordinaire that I like to think of myself as, our living room usually ends up being the place to be during football season!
When I was contacted by at home about possibly collaborating on a football party theme post for the blog, I literally jumped with joy!! (Shhhh don't tell them that though ;-) ) Football, shopping for decor & throwing and epic party for work had to be the best gig of all times!!!! Definitely one of those moments that made me remember why I love what I do so much!
That week at home sent me a giant box filled with party favors for the guest, along with cups, napkins, table cloth etc to use for the party and the best part! An American Express gift card to go food shopping with AND a $100 gift card for at home to buy all the party supplies I needed!
That weekend hubby and I drove to Erie Pa, about 45 minutes away from our home and went party shopping. It was hubby's first time hitting up at home and he even found himself obsessed with the store!!! They had everything a party hostess like
myself could ever dream of wanting to purchase!!! Hubby couldn't get his eyes off of all the wall art for his mancave and the grilling section! Yes, that's right, they had tons of decor for men as well!!! at home isn't just for us home decor loving girls!
This video gives you a peak at all of the goodies I snagged for $102! Only $2 came out of my pocket for all of this party fabulousness!!!
Now for the part y'all are here for lol! The decor for the Dallas Cowboys party we threw!!!
My favorite part had to be the field goal we made on the wall!!! I have been to quite a few bars that make these during the Super Bowl so it was our turn to attempt to make one!!! Honestly I think it came out pretty fab for our first try! All you need is tape (we used blue because Go Cowboys!!) and balloons!
We we also took tacks and tacked two pieces of string to the wall to clip pretzels to. You can use clothes pins to hang them. We just totally lucked out that we found white and blue pins at the store!
We had all your football favorites for our guest!!! Chip n salsa, cheese and crackers, wing dip, pizza, pulled pork etc.... One of my signature football party crafty projects is Football Treat Bags & of course those bagas HAD to make an appearance!
All you have to do is take lunch paper bags or you can be fancy like me and take small gold gift bags. Cut the handles off and tape on football laces!!!! So easy even my 4 year old helps me make these!
Can you have a Dallas Cowboys party without football shaped foods?!?! We frosted cupcakes and chocolate rice krispy treats to look like footballs!
Another football party signature of ours is our football cheese plate!!! I have been making these for years. Easy to assemble and always a total crowd pleaser.
You literally just take cheese and crackers and lay them down in a football shape! Then take a piece of white cheese and cut laces.
Is a party really a party without booze?!?! I know it's rather silly, but this white bucket might be my favorite item we purchased at at home store! We have picky friends who like what they drink and that's is all they drink. I have all the beer and wine basics at my house, but since I apparently drink red "cough syrup wines, bitter champagnes and craft beers, out friends usually bring their own booze. So having a bucket with ice out for them to place their beers and wine in, total awesomeness!!!
The penalty yellow napkin is something my hubby is obsessed with when it comes to football parties!!! He saw this on Pinterest years ago and has been using the idea ever since. Definitely a cute touch :)
Of course we had a Cowboys Photo booth!!!!!! You need epic party photos right?!?!?! Take a peak at our party in real time by watching the video above :)
What football team would you be heading to at home to decorate for?
